Honestly I love what they did with the game. I didn’t really enjoy
toddlers, never read the papers, hardly ever went swimming, really didn’t
go searching for ores and crap, and etc. Just like he said, the Sims 4 is
like going back to the Sims 1 and 2 but upgrading them a lot. In my
personal opinion I like the simple style because that is what I fell in
love with when I played the first Sims back in 2001. The Sims 3 was fun,
but it had a lot of crap in it, it was overwhelming for me. I am hoping
that the Sims 4 expansions will open up new towns, give weather, pets,
vacation, jobs, and so on and I will be happy. I just am afraid of what
they are going to cost, they better not all be $60…
+Lazy Game Reviews, have you ever considered doing a podcast focusing on
gaming and collecting games and consoles and PCs in a more general context?
I think you’d be good at it. You have a good voice for radio, and you’re
very articulate and detailed in your explanations whilst still being
entertaining.
Did you really have a hard time with long loading screens? They’ve been
relatively short for me. But there is at least 1 rabbit hole in the game.
It’s the restrooms in the set dressings.
you say this lags but in your island paradise you don’t mention lag once..
I like your videos but some of the shit you say and don’t say makes me
question your reviews
Anyone know the money cheat for ts4? I hate using it, just curious
You are my all time fav game reviewer ^_^ Thanks for the awesome review!
Might get it myself just to give it a try, all bad points aside, still
looks pretty fun! :D
I can’t wait for the inevitable Toddlers and Swimming Pools $30 expansion.
Before the review starts. Have you lost weight? ^-^ Looking good, Clint
The Sims 4 is more about quality than quantity.
…20-45 seconds on an SSD…? What…….are you even….What. Lol. I
don’t run the game on an SSD and it loads well within 7 seconds at the
most. Usually it’s about 5. Not sure why you’re having such long load
screens. O_o
I think I’ll wait till they announce a late night expansion and keep
playing sims 3 a little longer. Sadly a lot of the stuff I enjoyed in Sim 3
isn’t in sim 4 (yet). Unlike LG, I enjoyed a lot of the vampires, magic and
fairies from Supernatural and it just sucks that I might go months or even
years without it in Sims4
What on earth is that box that says “I HAVE NO MOUTH”?
I am so happy to see your view on Sims 4. That is by far the most positive
review I have seen. You clearly played the game and didn’t just stamp it as
cashgrab, because lol EA and maximum profit, like everyone else does. It
definitely needs its fixes and patches however, the price really is
absurdly high as you stated.
Most people I know just looked at that “80 removed features in Sims 4”
article and just hate(d) the game to death, without having played it or
even watched any gameplay footage of it. And its just a shame, because it
actually looks alright. Nothing revolutionary, but not a catastrophy either.
I enjoyed the video, thanks for the effort. :)
Can you adopt in the sims 4?
This game is more like The Sims 1.5
Just for a little moment I was actually considering getting this as the
created Sims actually look quite good and the interactions and mood systems
seem like a lot of fun. Then I remembered it’s mandatory Origin. *sigh*
Welp, guess not. I just can’t stomach yet another freaking online service.
We have enough already.
I have been playing the game non-stop since launch and I am completely in
love with it! I can’t wait to see what is to come in the future!
People are mostly complaining about the changes in The Sims 4 for the same
reasons they complained about the new Sim City (no not DRM… The city size
issue.
I don’t want to sound like an apologist, but personally I much rather have
a less refined features than a sh*t load of glitchy features. I think the
removal of things like pools is just dumb, but let’s be honest, who played
all 50 lots in a neighborhood in the Sims 3? Also, it may be 2014, but
software tech is starting to way out perform hardware. Sure, hardcore
gamers may have no problem running the huge open world with all the
features of The Sims 4 with $4k+ machines, but the average person probably
still can’t.
I can’t give a 100% accurate opinion here since I have yet to get my hands
on a copy (downloading as we speak) and am just going off of other people’s
reviews.
Great stuff LGR as usual LGR!
Inter-lot travel takes like 2-3 seconds
LGR/Clint, have you played 5 Nights At Freddy’s yet?
